Senecio herreianus is a succulent plant, similar to the more common Curio rowleyanus, with trailing stems of oval pointed, bead-like, green leaves, up to 0.4 inches (10 cm) with vertical, translucent lines or photosynthetic windows. The flowers are small, white to nearly white, brush-like on long peduncles.

Winter hardy to USDA Zones 9-12. Intolerant of frost. In St. Louis, plants must be brought indoors prior to the first fall frost date for overwintering. This plant is best grown in a dry, sandy, well-drained, cactus-type potting mix in part shade. Allow roots to dry out between waterings.
