About Victoria Bird Nest Fern
Fact to be known: This plant has an interesting characteristic trait as it has a erected stout rhizome or stem which bears a rosette of simple leaves(fronds) to create a structure that represents a “nest”. The special fern, bird fern, mostly grows in the form of a deep rosette of large, shiny, spear-shaped fronds.
The new fronds emerges from the middle of the plant. The fronds of the bird fern are light green colored which are often crinkled with a black midrib, and exhibit circinate vernation. The formed spores in sori are on the underside of the fronds.
