About Sansevieria Trifasciata Hahnii

Sansevieria trifasciata, also known as the Snake Plant, is one of the most popular and hardy species of houseplants belonging to the family Asparagaceae. Sansevieria trifasciata has broad strap-like, upright leaves that are dark green and marked with a pattern of wavy cross stripes in a lighter color.

Planting And Care

Sunlight

An exposure to direct harsh sunlight can cause damage to the foliage so keep the plant indoor with bright natural or bright artificial light.

 

Soil

A well drained and fertile rich in organic soil is preferred.

 

Watering

Water the plant if it feels dry to touch the topsoil. You can check the moister by poking small stick or finger into the soil.

A handsome amount of water is preferred in the summers while reducing the same in the rainy season.

 

Application of Fertilizer

The plant should be fed organic fertilizers once a month during their growing season.

Make the topsoil lose without interfering the roots so that it can consume the moisture and nutrients easily.

 

Repotting

A plant should be re-potted with some fresh potting soil and fertilizers when it outgrows the current pot.
