Hedera helix, commonly known as English ivy, is a vigorous, fast-growing, woody evergreen perennial that is primarily grown as a climbing vine or trailing ground cover. Although commonly grown as a hanging plant indoors, its aerial roots can easily be trained to climb a moss stick or trellis.

It thrives in cold and low-light situations. According to NASA, it is one of the best air purifier plants that removes harmful chemicals like benzene, formaldehyde, and xylene from the surrounding air.

Sunlight

Keep the plant outdoor in the bright light of about 4-5 hours.

Protect the English Ivy from harsh sunlight as it can cause damage to the foliage.

WateringWater the plant when the topsoil (1-2 inches) in the pot feels dry to touch.

Do not ever overwater the plant.

Water thoroughly in the summer and reduce watering in the winter and rainy seasons.
